If you’re here following a link from the Non-Consumer Advocate, welcome!
(An aside: Today, Katy of The Non-Consumer Advocate posted my piece about uncluttering, very slowly, as a guest post on her wonderful blog.)
Just a moment to introduce myself: My name is Barb and I have two kids and a full-time (outside the home) job. In general I run around like a chicken without my head on most days. Life gets so darn busy. I decided to start a blog to help me focus on the things that make me happy. And so far, I’m having a great time. There’s more information about me on my “About Me” page. (Um…maybe I should come up with a new name for that!)
Katy and I met in high school (and, uh, maybe I won’t tell you how long ago that was!) and I love her blog. You may know me from the comments as BarbS. Since I’ve known Katy for such a long time, feel free to ask me anything about her. 🙂 I don’t promise to answer!
Some posts you may find interesting:
- This Happy List is a list of things that made me smile on a recent particularly sunny day.
- Katy and I share a love of Star Trek. It’s just one of the major indicators of my nerdiness.
- Do you and your family use shorthand phrases to indicate a particular situation or feeling? I think it promotes family bonding, in a fun way. This is a list of some of my family’s shorthand.
- If you like to bake (as I know many of Katy’s readers do), check out Blueberry Oatmeal Bread. I’m planning a regular feature called Tasty Tuesdays where I’ll share recipes and cooking tips. Banana/Wheat-germ muffins are up next. My kids (who refuse to eat whole wheat bread) love them.
Many thanks to Katy for running my post. I hope your readers enjoy it!
I am loving your blog!
(That’s my 1 sentence comment.) 😉
